Absinthe en fête ticket
CHF 20 – Includes a glass, a glass-holder, six tasting coupons, a map of the event and free admission to the Maison de l’Absinthe in Môtiers.
How do I get there?
Absinthe is drunk, and when you’re drinking, you’re not driving.
For this reason, we strongly recommend that you come by public transport, to enjoy the day in complete safety.
By train from Neuchâtel
Regular trains serve Val-de-Travers throughout the day.
Departure from Neuchâtel at HH:13 and HH:41.

Getting around
Shuttle buses will run every 30 minutes between the villages and the participating distilleries, from 10am to 6pm.

FAQ
What time does the event start and finish?
The event kicks off at 9am with the official opening.
The distilleries are open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., followed by a festive evening in Môtiers from 6 p.m. until late into the night!
Do I need to book to visit the distilleries?
Tickets can be purchased on site from all participating distilleries or from the Maison de l’absinthe.
Guided tours must be booked in advance (limited number of places).
Are the shuttles free?
Yes, the free shuttle buses run every 30 minutes between Môtiers, Fleurier and Couvet stations.
Can we come by car?
It’s possible, but not recommended. A parking lot is available in Môtiers for those who don’t want to drive. The idea, however, is to leave your vehicle in the parking lot during the day and take advantage of the shuttle service, so as not to clog up the villages of the Vallon and the distilleries with cars. What’s more, as the event celebrates absinthe: for your own safety and that of others, take public transport. Trains run every half-hour from Neuchâtel.
Will there be food on site?
Yes, during the day, some of the restaurants in the Val-de-Travers are open, offering simple meals on the go. You’ll also find food stands in some distilleries. In the evening, food trucks will be on hand in front of the music tent.
Can I pay by card or cash only?
It depends on the distillery. Bring some cash just in case, even if most distilleries accept cards.
Do I need a ticket?
Tasting and shuttle service are only available on presentation of the official 2025 event glass.
Is the event child-friendly?
Children are accepted, but the program is not very child-friendly.
What happens during the evening in Môtiers?
From 6pm, the Parc Girardier is transformed into a large absinthe bar with concerts, DJ sets, food trucks and a great atmosphere until midnight.
